All territory annexed to the corporate limits of the city, subsequent to the effective date of this title will be within the jurisdiction of this title and will, at such time, become part of that district specified by the city council in accordance with the Poteau comprehensive plan, at the time of annexation thereof. The annexed territory will retain such zoning classification until such time the territory will be otherwise zoned in the manner prescribed by law. (1990 Code § 12-225)
