A. Definitions:
ASSAULT: Any intentional, wilful, or unlawful attempt or offer with force or violence to do a corporal hurt to another.
BATTERY: Any intentional, wilful or unlawful use of force or violence upon the person of another, or the making of any physical contact with another without consent.
B. Prohibited Acts: It is unlawful to commit an assault or an assault and battery within the jurisdiction of the city. Any person committing an assault or an assault and battery within the jurisdiction of the city shall be guilty of an offense. (1990 Code § 10-501)
