5-4B-1: PETTY LARCENY:
   A.   Definition: "Petty larceny" is the taking of personal property of value not exceeding fifty dollars ($50.00) accomplished by fraud or stealth and with intent to deprive another thereof, but it does not include the taking of such property from the "person" of another.
   B.   Prohibited Act: Petty larceny is unlawful, and any person who commits larceny shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. (1990 Code § 10-201)
