1-6-1: ELECTION OF OFFICERS; TERMS:
   A.   In a statutory aldermanic city, the terms of the elected officers of the city shall be staggered so that at any one general municipal election, the following officers are to be elected for four (4) year terms:
      1.   One council member from each ward;
      2.   The mayor;
      3.   The city clerk;
      4.   The chief of police; and
      5.   The street commissioner.
   B.   At the next general municipal election, the following officers are to be elected for four (4) year terms:
      1.   One council member from each ward; and
      2.   The city treasurer. (1990 Code § 2-102)
