17-8.10: OPERATION OF OFF HIGHWAY MOTOR VEHICLES:
   A.   Definition: For the purpose of this section, an "off highway motor vehicle" is any of the following:
Any motor vehicle subject to the provisions of subdivision (a) of section 38010 of the California Vehicle Code (CVC) subparagraph (b), including, but not limited to, the following:
      1.   Any motorcycle or motor driven cycle.
      2.   Any motor vehicle commonly referred to as a sand buggy, dune buggy or all terrain vehicle.
      3.   Any motor vehicle commonly referred to as a jeep.
   B.   Operation Within One-Half Mile Of Any Residence: It shall be unlawful for any off highway motor vehicle described in subsection A of this section to be operated within one-half (1/2) mile of any residence. (Ord. 1170 § A, 6-19-1979)
