Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter or wilfully and knowingly refusing to comply with the rules, regulations and determination of the city manager shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed six (6) months, (or as otherwise specified in the Section 1-9 of this Municipal Code), or by both fine and imprisonment.
