To prevent contamination of groundwaters and other dangers to health, every person having an entire or partial right of ownership or possession of the land or premises on which an abandoned well is situated shall destroy the well as hereinafter specified. (Ord. 464 § 1(part), 1984).
There is adopted by reference pursuant to the provisions of Section 50022.1 of the Government Code; Part III, Section 23 of the State of California, Department of Water Resources Bulletin Number 74. Certified copies of said Part III, entitled Destruction of Wells, are and have been on file with the City Clerk of the city where they are open for public inspection. Said Part III, entitled Destruction of Wells, is referred to and adopted by this reference as part of the Pinole Municipal Code. (Ord. 464 § 1(part), 1984).
