ORDINANCE ADOPTION PROCEDURE

1.08.010 INTRODUCTION BY CERTAIN OFFICERS. 
   Ordinances may be introduced at any meeting of the City Council by a member of the City Council , the City Clerk, City Manager or City Attorney. Introduction and first reading may also be by the City Council designating the ordinances in the consent calendar. (Res. 1450 § 1, 1978).
1.08.020 DESIGNATION OF DATE FOR ADOPTION – NOTICE. 
   At the time of introduction, the City Council shall designate the date for considering the ordinance for adoption and shall provide the method of giving notice as provided in Section 1.08.070. (Res. 1450 § 2, 1978).
