§ 154.068 SIDEWALKS.
   (A)   Concrete sidewalks shall be required on both sides of every dedicated street improvement. The sidewalks shall be constructed of Portland Cement Concrete to a thickness of five inches and to a width of not less than four feet in residential areas and not less than six feet in commercial or industrial areas. Sidewalks shall be located within the street right-of-way one foot from the abutting property line.
   (B)   Prior to the pouring of any public sidewalk or driveway, the Public Works Department shall be notified 24 hours in advance.
   (C)   The concrete specifications shall be as follows:
      (1)   Minimum cement content six bags per cubic yard with 3% to 6% air entrainment, (air entrainment shall conform to ASTM C-260-60T) poured over a four inch tamped road mix stone base with welded wire reinforcement or fiber concrete; provided, however, that portion of the sidewalk located in driveways and approaches shall have a six inch tamped road mix stone base where the sidewalk itself in effect becomes a part of the driveway and is traversed by motor vehicles.
      (2)   Maximum slump shall be four inches.
      (3)   Maximum water content: six gallons per bag of cement, including water in the aggregates.
      (4)   The use of accelerators shall be permitted by cannot exceed 2% by weight of cement maximum.
      (5)   Curing. All sidewalks, curbs, gutters and driveways constructed in the public right-of-way shall be cured using a white pigmented liquid membrane-forming compound. All liquid curing compounds shall conform to the specifications for liquid membrane-forming compounds for the curing of concrete ASTM C-309 or AASHO —148. Liquid curing compounds shall not be applied later than 24 hours after pouring or between the months of November through April 15.
      (6)   Delivery tickets. All concrete delivered on the job site must be accompanied by a delivery ticket showing the following:
         (a)   All material, including water, accelerators and air entrainment, and the like.
         (b)   Time stamped to show the exact time the mix left the plant.
      (7)   Removal of Forms. After removal of forms, all sidewalks, driveways, and the like, shall be immediately back filled and reinspected by the Public Works Department. Following the form removal and back filling operation, all public walks and driveways shall be barricaded to prohibit their use by vehicular traffic for a period of not less than seven days.
