9.62.030: AIR GUNS:
The chief of police is hereby authorized to establish a procedure which will allow residents who are at least twenty one (21) years old and who can demonstrate that they have liability insurance to apply for and receive a permit to discharge an air gun when that resident can demonstrate that the use of such a weapon is necessary to remove birds or animals which are damaging their property or food sources. A resident who receives such a permit shall be strictly liable for any damage caused during the use of such a weapon. Any use of an air powered gun without first securing a permit shall be a violation of section 9.62.010 of this chapter. (Ord. 1251 § 2, 2005)
