Nothing in this chapter shall in any way affect the rights of present adult businesses to continue their operation so long as they adhere to the provisions of this chapter, including submission of properly completed applications within thirty (30) days of the date of this chapter and otherwise maintain a current license. Once an existing operation obtains a classified license, only subsequent change in classification shall be treated as a new use and must qualify under the provisions of this chapter. If there is a failure to timely renew a license, any subsequent application must satisfy all the requirements of this chapter including section 5.36.160 of this chapter pertaining to location restrictions.
