No person shall operate a billiard room or poolroom or permit any person to be or remain in such billiard room or poolroom any day of the week between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., except on Sunday, when any such billiard room or poolroom may be open for business only between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon and 2:30 a.m. of the following day. This section shall not be construed to prevent regular employees from performing necessary work within the premises.
