933.01   CONFORMITY WITH REGULATIONS OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY DISTRICT BOARD OF HEALTH.
   All septic tanks installed in the City shall conform to the regulations set forth by the Cuyahoga County District Board of Health with the following exceptions:
   In Regulation 11, specifications for the leaching field shall be as follows:
   The leaching field shall have a minimum of 240 feet of lateral lines. Such lateral lines shall have a minimum spacing of not less than eight feet and a maximum length of not more than eighty feet. The lateral trenches shall be not less than twenty inches wide, with a maximum depth of thirty inches. The distribution lines used in such leaching field shall be constructed of four-inch vitrified clay pipe, or equivalent, laid with open joints, with a maximum grade of six inches per 100 feet, and a minimum grade of three inches per 100 feet. The filter material shall be gravel, not smaller in size than number nine or larger than number four or number four slag or crushed stone. The filter material used shall be free of sand or clay. The filter materials shall completely encase the distribution lines and there shall be not less than twelve inches of filter material beneath the tile and not less than three inches of filter material over the tile. Each lateral line shall be connected to a distribution box and shall not be subdivided. Leaching trenches shall not be constructed on filled ground.
   Before backfilling leaching field trenches, the filter material shall be covered with an adequate bed of straw or other suitable material.
