The owner or contractor shall have an engineer or surveyor stake out all new sidewalks for line and grade according to the City sidewalk standards and established street profile, with a layout card, furnished by the City Engineer or the Department of Public Service, filled in and returned to the City Engineer before inspection of forms. The owner or contractor may request the City Engineer to perform this service if they have no engineer or surveyor retained. Application for this service can be made at the Department of Public Service. The fee for this service shall be as set out in Chapter 185 of the Administrative Code (the General Fee Schedule) and shall be payable in advance upon application for engineering services of sidewalk lines and grade stakes.
