151.03   CLOTHING ALLOWANCE.
   (a)   Drivers; Laborers; Operators. Clothing allowance for drivers, laborers and operators shall be as follows:
      (1)   The City shall pay the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00), beginning January 1, 1974, and annually thereafter, for the purpose of furnishing their own work trousers.
      (2)   On or before April 15 of each year, the City shall provide each such employee with one hundred dollars ($100.00) clothing allowance.
   During the month of July, each driver, laborer and operator shall purchase five new uniform shirts. Receipts for purchase must be turned in to the Director of Public Service by July 31. Upon receipt of the receipts of purchase, an additional one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be paid during the month of August.
   The new uniform shirts shall be of a good quality as determined by the Director and the style shall be the same for each driver, laborer and operator so as to identify them as employees of the City. The difference in cost of the shirts and the one hundred dollars ($100.00) is to be utilized to defray the cost of laundering shirts and pants for such employees.

   (b)   Automotive Mechanics, Automotive Apprentice Mechanics, Body Repairmen Painters and Apprentice Body Repairmen. The City shall provide sufficient uniforms (shirts and work trousers) for automotive mechanics, automotive apprentice mechanics, body repairmen-painters and apprentice body repairmen, to permit five changes per week.

   (c)   Other Employees. Clothing allowance for stokermen, timekeepers, fire hydrant supervisors, incinerator maintenance specialists and supervisors and foremen in the Division of Streets, Sewers, Refuse Disposal and Incineration, Sign Shop and Recreation and Parks shall be as follows:
       (1)   On January 1 of each year, the City shall provide each such employee with one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the purpose of allowing each such employee to furnish his own work trousers.
       (2)   The City shall furnish such employees the presently lettered shirts at its expense.
