(a) The Division of Fire is hereby authorized to provide fire protection to any State agency or instrumentality, county or political subdivision of the State, without a contract to provide fire protection, upon the approval of the senior command officer on duty when a request is made.
(b) Members of the Division rendering fire protection services outside the limits of the City shall be protected and receive the benefits provided in Ohio R.C. 701.02, so far as applicable, and Ohio R.C. 9.60(D).
