Any member of the Division of Fire whose uniform or clothing is damaged as a result of carrying forward his or her official duties and during the course and within the scope of employment may have such damaged uniform and clothing replaced at the cost of the City.
The aforementioned damaged uniform and/or clothing shall be presented for inspection by the Chief of Fire and, upon the recommendation of such Chief, together with the approval of the Director of Public Safety, a requisition may be placed for purchase of such damaged uniforms and clothing and the same shall be paid for out of Account No. 1112-04-257 "Repairs and Maintenance" in the Division of Fire.
