The Director of Public Safety shall prescribe the uniform to be worn by the school guards and he shall provide by rule for the regular inspection and proper maintenance of all such uniforms in a neat, clean and serviceable condition. The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized to issue a purchase requisition, to the Department of Purchases, in such amount as does not exceed in the aggregate, the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) in any one calendar year for any one school guard, for any part, or all, of uniform equipment.
