It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police to designate some member or members of the Police Department to make regular collections of the money deposited in the meters, and it shall be the duty of those persons so designated to remove from the parking meters the coins contained therein into a sealed container and to deliver this sealed container, with the seal unbroken, to the City Treasurer to receive and count the funds contained therein and deposit those funds to the city motor vehicle parking revenue fund.
