§ 117.01 PURPOSE.
   This chapter is intended to regulate all sales of merchandise to the general public from or on property zoned or used for residential district, as established by the zoning ordinance in effect from time to time, including without limitation all types of sales commonly referred to as garage sales, yard sales, rummage sales, auction sales, estate sales, and moving sales.

§ 117.02 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   PERSONAL PROPERTY. Property which is owned, utilized, maintained, stored, or kept by an individual or member of the individual's family or person residing at the individual's residence and acquired in the normal course of living or maintaining a residence.
   RESIDENTIAL SALES. Includes all general sales open to the public, conducted from or on a residential zone as defined by the zoning ordinance, for the purpose of disposing, selling, trading, exchanging, bartering, swapping, and passing title of personal property, including but not limited to all sales commonly referred to as "garage," "lawn," "yard," "attic," "porch," "room," "backyard," "patio," "flea market," or "rummage" sale. This definition shall not include a residential sale where not more than five specific items are held out for sale, and all advertisements of said residential sales specifically identify those items to be sold.
