16.40.100   Repair or demolition by city engineer.
   When any work of repair or demolition is to be done pursuant to Section 16.40.090 hereof the building official shall issue his order therefor to the city engineer and the work shall be accomplished under the direction of the city engineer. Plans and specifications may be prepared by the city engineer, or he may employ such architectural and engineering assistance on a contract basis as he may deem reasonably necessary.
