§ 72.999  PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person receiving a citation for any parking violation in the city for which no penalty is otherwise provided shall be deemed to have committed a violation and shall be fined in an amount not less than $20 nor more than $100. (KRS 189.990(1))
   (B)   Any person who violates §§ 72.001(B) and § 72.003(B),(D),(F),(H),(I), and (J), or 72.025 shall be issued a parking ticket by the meter attendant or city police officer.  The parking tickets shall be handled and disposed of as follows:
      (1)   Within 48 hours after issuance, the recipient may place $10 in the envelope provided therefor and deposit it in any Fine-O-Meter Collection Box placed at various locations in the city.
      (2)   Should the recipient fail to comply with division (B)(1) above, the sum of $50 shall be paid to the City Clerk or a duly authorized deputy within seven days after date of issuance.
      (3)   Any person who shall fail to comply with divisions (B)(1) and (2) above shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished with a fine of $100.

   (C)   Any person who violates § 72.012 of this chapter shall be issued a parking ticket by the meter attendant or city police officer.  The parking tickets shall be handled and disposed of as follows:
      (1)   Within seven days after issuance, the recipient of a parking ticket may place $5 in the envelope provided therefor and deposit it in any Fine-O-Meter Collection box placed a various locations in the city.
      (2)   Should the recipient fail to comply with division (C)(1) above, then the sum of $25 shall be paid to the City Clerk or a duly authorized deputy within 30 days after the date of the issuance.
      (3)   Any person who shall fail to comply with divisions (C)(1) and (2) above shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished with a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $100.

   (D)   Any person who violates § 72.013 of this chapter shall be issued a citation by the meter attendant or a city police officer.  the citation shall be handled and disposed of as follows:
      (1)   Within 48 hours from the date of issuance the recipient may pay to the City Clerk or a duly authorized deputy a fine of $50.  In the event that the removal of a vehicle from a handicap parking zone is required, the recipient will also be responsible for the cost of the removal.
      (2)   Should the recipient fail to pay the sum of $50 within 48 hours from the date of issuance he/she shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than $150 nor more than $300.

   (E)   Any person who shall violate any provision of §§ 72.003(K) or 72.014 of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and fine not less than $10 nor more than $100, and shall also be subject to a term of not more than 30 days in jail for each such offense.  In addition to the foregoing penalty, any police officer of the city may immobilize any vehicle violating §§ 72.003(K) or 72.014, and the vehicle will not be freed until payment to the City Clerk of an administrative fee in the amount of $50.  Any police officer of the city may direct that any vehicle in violation of § 72.003(K) or § 72.014 be towed, and the vehicle will not be released from the towing company until such time as the owner or operator of the vehicle has paid the towing charge and any storage charges.

   (F)   Any person who violates §§ 72.058 through 72.061 shall be issued an overtime parking ticket by the meter attendant or city police officer.  The overtime parking tickets shall be handled and disposed of as follows:
      (1)   Within 24 hours after issuance, recipient of overtime parking ticket may place $2 in the envelope provided therefor and deposit it in any Fine-O-Meter Collection box placed at various locations in the city.
      (2)   Should the recipient fail to comply with division (F)(1) above, the sum of $10 shall be paid to the City Clerk or a duly authorized deputy within seven days after the date of issuance of the overtime parking tickets.
      (3)   Should the recipient fail to comply with divisions (F)(1) and (2) above, then the sum of $50 shall be paid to the City Clerk or a duly authorized deputy within 30 days after the date of the issuance.
      (4)   Any person who shall fail to comply with divisions (F)(1),(2) and (3) above shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished with a fine of not more than $100.  (Ord. 88-02, passed 2-2-88; Am. Ord. 90-14, passed 8-14-90)
   (G)   Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with § 72.075 shall be issued a citation by the meter attendant or a city police officer.  The overtime parking ticket shall be handled and disposed of as follows:
      (1)   Within 24 hours after issuance, the recipient of overtime parking ticket may place $5 in the envelope provided therefore and deposit it in any Fine-O-Meter Collection Box placed at various locations in the city.
      (2)   Should the recipient fail to comply with division (G)(1) above, the sum of $50 shall be paid to the City Clerk or a duly authorized deputy within seven days after the date of issuance.
      (3)   Should the recipient fail to comply with divisions (G)(1) and (2) above, then the sum of $50 shall be paid to the City Clerk or a duly authorized deputy within 30 days after the date of issuance.
      (4)   Any person who shall fail to comply with divisions (G)(1),(2) and (3) above shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished with a fine of $100.

   (H)   Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with § 72.077 shall be issued a citation by the traffic-control officer or city police officer.  The citation shall be handled and disposed of as follows:
      (1)   Within 24 hours after issuance the recipient of the parking ticket may place $5 in the envelope provided therefore.
      (2)   Should the recipient fail to comply with division (H)(1) above, the sum of $10 shall be paid to the City Clerk or a duly authorized deputy within seven days after the date of issuance.
      (3)   Should the recipient fail to comply with divisions (H)(1) and (2) above, then the sum of $50 shall be paid to the City Clerk or a duly authorized deputy within 30 days after the date of issuance.  (Ord. 91-011, passed 9-10-91)
   (I)   Any person who violates § 72.092 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $100.
