Whenever the city determines that a nuisance exists, the city or its authorized agent may notify the owner, occupant, or agent, of the nuisance by certified mail. The written notice must contain the following information:
A. A description of what constitutes the nuisance.
B. The location of the nuisance.
C. A statement of the act or acts necessary to abate the nuisance.
D. An order to abate the nuisance or request a hearing within a stated time, which shall be reasonable under the circumstances, but the maximum time for the abatement of the nuisance shall not exceed thirty (30) days.
E. A statement that if the nuisance is not abated as directed and no request for hearing is made within the time prescribed, the city will abate it and assess the costs against the property owner. (Ord. 2014-03, 4-8-2014)
