12-1-12: SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR SHALLOW FLOODING AREAS:
In addition to the general floodplain standards, uses within shallow flooding areas must meet the following applicable standards:
   A.   In shallow flooding areas designated as an AO zone on the flood insurance rate map (FIRM), the minimum floodproofing/flood protection elevation shall be equal to the number of feet as specified on the FIRM (or a minimum of 2 feet if no number is specified) above the highest natural grade adjacent to the structure.
   B.   In shallow flooding areas designated as an AH zone on the flood insurance rate map, the minimum floodproofing/flood protection elevation shall be equal to the elevation as specified on the FIRM. (Ord. 2002-104, 8-27-2002)
