A. Owner Responsible; Failure To Remove: It shall be the responsibility of the abutting property owner to promptly remove snow, ice and accumulations from the sidewalks, but in the event that such snow, ice and accumulations are permitted to remain on said sidewalks for more than a reasonable length of time, the city shall have the power to remove them and assess the actual costs thereof against the said property, all in accordance with the appropriate provisions of the code of Iowa and amendments thereto relating to the removal of snow, ice and accumulations.
B. Time Limit: The city shall determine by resolution what a reasonable length of time shall be. (Ord. 32, 11-10-1970)
