SECTION 1.01 Name

The present municipality of Ottawa shall be and continue to be a municipal corporation in the State of Ohio, in perpetuity, with the name of "Village of Ottawa". Should the Village of Ottawa become a city under Ohio law, it shall thenceforth be known as the "City of Ottawa". The provisions of this Charter shall apply whether this municipality is a Village or a City.
