No person shall engage in any of the trades, businesses or professions for which licenses are required by the Ohio Revised Code or by any other ordinance or provision of the Codified Ordinances without first applying for and obtaining a license from the Clerk-Treasurer or her designee.
(1968 Code Sec. 50.2)
All original applications for licenses, unless otherwise specifically provided, shall be made to the Clerk-Treasurer or her designee in writing upon forms to be furnished by the Clerk-Treasurer or her designee and shall contain:
(a) The name of the applicant and of each officer, partner or business associate;
(b) His present occupation and place of business;
(c) His place of residence for five years next preceding the date of application;
(d) The nature and location of the intended business or enterprise;
(e) The period of time for which the license is desired;
(f) If for a vendor, a description of the merchandise to be sold;
(g) Such other information concerning the applicant and his business as may be reasonable and proper, having regard to the nature of the license desired.
Renewal of an annual license may be granted to a licensee in good standing upon the original application, unless otherwise provided.
With each original or renewal application, the applicant shall deposit the fee required for the license requested.
No person shall knowingly make any false statement or representation in such application. (1968 Code Sec. 50.4)
