Violation of a provision of this chapter is a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, a person may be punishable as established in section 1-4-1 of this Code. Each act of violation and each day on which a violation occurs or continues is a separate violation. The provisions of this section notwithstanding, no penalty shall be greater than that established by State Statute for the same offense. The City reserves the right to enforce the terms and conditions of this chapter by use of administrative enforcement procedures or any applicable action in law or equity.
