This chapter shall apply to any type of establishment outside of the child's own home, but shall not apply to the following:
A. The custody of any child or children in a public or private school organized, operated or approved under the laws of this state;
B. Children whose custody is fixed by a court of competent jurisdiction;
C. Children related by blood or marriage within the third degree to the custodial person; or
D. Churches or religious institutions caring for children while their parents or legal guardians are attending church services or engaged in church activities. (Ord. 01-01-2002, 1-24-2002)
