It hereby is declared to be the purpose of the revenues provided by the five percent (5%) Hotel/Motel Tax levied by this chapter to provide revenues for economic development, recreation and tourism within the City of Okemah, Oklahoma. All taxes collected pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall be deposited into the City of Okemah's General Fund. The City Council shall annually appropriate said funds to support the said governmental purposes. (Ord. 2017-12, 10-12-2017)
