8-3-7: GREASE TRAPS, INTERCEPTORS AND SEPARATORS:
The city requires that grease traps, interceptors and separators be installed according to the conditions and requirements in chapter 10 of the international plumbing code or when any of the following conditions exist: (Ord. 2006-03-01, 3-13-2006; amd. 2007 Code)
   A.   A nonresidential (restaurant, motel, hotel, church, school, hospital, daycare center, nursing home, etc.) or multi-unit residential (apartment house, etc.) connection that does any type of food preparation or cooking.
   B.   A nonresidential or multi-unit residential connection that has a shop or sink that may contribute metals to the sewer system.
   C.   A nonresidential or multi-unit residential connection that does laundry.
   D.   A car wash/truck wash business.
   E.   Automobile, truck, small engine or farm equipment service centers or repair shops where grease or oil is present or produced. (Ord. 2006-03-01, 3-13-2006)
