1510.11 ADDITIONAL RULES APPLICABLE TO NON-APPROVED EXTERIOR FURNACES.

   (a)   Sections 1510.02, 1510.04 and 1510.09 shall not apply to an exterior furnace that is installed and in operating condition prior to the effective date of this Chapter.

   (b)   An exterior furnace that is not an approved exterior furnace which is not in operating condition as of the effective date of this Chapter shall not be operated after the effective date of this Chapter. No person shall, after the effective date of this Chapter, repair or render operable any such furnace described in this sub-section.

   (c)   Any exterior furnace that is not an approved exterior furnace which is installed and in operating condition as of the effective date of this Chapter shall, upon sale of the property upon which the furnace is installed, be removed or rendered permanently inoperable.

   (d)   In the event any exterior furnace that is not an approved exterior furnace which is installed and in operating condition as of the effective date of this Chapter shall be replaced on or after the effective date of this Chapter, such exterior furnace shall be replaced only with an exterior furnace that meets the requirements of this Chapter and such replacement furnace shall be subject to all of the requirements of this Chapter.
