§ 2-51 DUTIES GENERALLY.
   It shall be the duty of the Town Attorney to:
   (a)   Prosecute for and defend suits against the town;
   (b)   Advise the Mayor, Board of Aldermen or any other officer of the town in regard to matters connected with the town’s business;
   (c)   Attend meetings of the Board of Aldermen when requested to do so by them;
   (d)   Draw such deeds, contracts, bonds, notes and other legal papers as may be required for the proper conduct of the town’s business;
   (e)   Draw all ordinances granting franchises;
   (f)   Approve all ordinances as to form before their introduction; and
   (g)   Perform such additional duties as the Board of Aldermen may require pursuant to the Charter, other special acts applicable to the town or the General Statutes.
