Signs erected by schools, churches and hospitals and other institutions are permitted in all districts, but the size of any such signs shall not be in excess of 100 square feet. If such sign is freestanding, it shall not be closer than ten feet from any property line and shall not project higher than 20 feet above ground level. If the sign is a wall sign, it shall not project higher than 20 feet above ground level or the maximum height permitted in the district, whichever is greater.
