(a) At least one carbon monoxide detector shall be installed in each dwelling unit as listed in Section 1458.01.
(b) Carbon monoxide detectors shall be installed in the manner and in the recommended locations specified by the manufacturer. Every carbon monoxide detector shall comply with all applicable Federal and State regulations and bear the label of a nationally recognized testing laboratory, and shall meet the standards of UL-2034 or its equivalent.
(c) Additional carbon monoxide detection units may be necessary to insure maximum protection in large homes or homes with multiple levels of living space.
