§ 130.043 SMOKE FREE AIR ACT; INTENT.

   Sections 130.043 through 130.046 and 130.999(G) shall be known as the North Platte Smoke Free Air Act. The City Council hereby declares that the purposes of these sections are:

   (A)   To protect the public health and welfare by prohibiting smoking in all enclosed facilities owned, leased or operated by the city; and

   (B)   To promote the right of employees and persons coming into enclosed facilities owned, leased or operated by the city to breathe smoke free air, and to recognize that the need to breathe smoke free air shall have priority over the desire to smoke; and

   (C)   To provide certain smoke free areas of city parks for health and aesthetic reasons.
