ORDINANCE NO. O-17-2023

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3-29-8 OF THE NORTHLAKE CITY CODE REGARDING THE LOCATION AND OPERATION RESTRICTIONS FOR MOBILE FOOD VEHICLES

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Northlake, Cook County, Illinois, in the exercise of Northlake’s home rule powers as follows:

   SECTION 1:   Section 3-28-9 is amended by adding the underlined text and deleting the lined out text:

   C.   Mobile food vehicles may only operate on private property or in a public park in conjunction with an event licensed by the City not to exceed five (5) consecutive days.

   D.   Mobile food vehicles may operate on private property located in areas that are zoned industrial under the City’s zoning ordinance provided that the operator of the mobile food vehicle has first obtained the written authorization of the owner or lessee of the property and that sales are limited to employees of a business located on the property.

SECTION 2:   If any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not affect any of the other provisions of this ordinance.

   SECTION 3:   All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

   SECTION 4:   This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
