§ 150.17 ELECTRIC CODE (NEC) ADOPTED.
   (A)   A certain document, two copies of which are on file in the office of the Planning and Community Development Department, being marked and designated as the National Electric Code (NEC), being particularly the latest edition thereof and each subsequent edition upon approval and adoption by the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission (OUBCC), and is hereby adopted, in its entirety, as the code of the city, except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended by this code or OUBCC, for regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of electric systems, as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said code on file in the office of the Planning and Community Development Department, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully set out herein.
   (B)   Newcastle amendments to NEC. The following paragraphs identify amendments to adopted codes:
      (1)   No aluminum conductors or wire will be installed;
      (2)   A minimum of #12 A.W.E. copper wire will be installed, except this will not apply to wire carrying low voltage;
      (3)   There will be no more than eight (8) outlets installed on a 15-amp circuit (an outlet shall include lights and receptacles);
      (4)   There will be no more than 10 outlets on a 20-amp circuit;
      (5)   Romex will not be used in any commercial or industrial buildings, schools, churches or any other public building and where used, Romex will be stapled at least 12 inches from outlet;
      (6)   In all bathroom groups where GFCI protection is required, that protection must come from a GFCI receptacle located in the same room. In all other required locations, the GFCI protection can come from either a receptacle or breaker;
      (7)   Any cable that is to be used in the slab or under the slab whether incased in a pipe or direct burial shall be underground feeder (UF) cable;
      (8)   Any cable used to feed outlets connected to brick, rock, stone, or the like which creates pockets between the wall sheathing and exterior material shall be UF cable;
      (9)   Exterior panels will only be allowed when there is an extreme hardship (Community Development discretion);
      (10)   No electric panels to be installed in closets of any kind;
      (11)   A plug receptacle required on stair landings;
      (12)   Switches located within five (5) feet of a tub or shower shall be GFCI protected;
      (13)   Half showers (commonly referred to as doggie showers) shall follow wet location standards for GFCI protection, light fixture standards, and exhaust standards.

§ 150.18 INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE (IPMC) ADOPTED.
   (A)   A certain document, two copies of which are on file in the office of the Planning and Community Development Department, being marked and designated as The International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC), 2018 Edition, is adopted in its entirety by the city for the purpose of establishing the rules and regulations governing the activities regulated thereby.
   (B)   The city hereby adopts the following International Property Maintenance Code Appendices, being particularly the latest edition thereof and each subsequent edition, as governing law controlling except as to such portions as are specifically amended or deleted in this chapter, and except as to such matters as may be provided for in other ordinances or in the rules and regulations authorized under provision of this code and other codes of the city:
      (1)   Appendix A, Boarding Standard.

§ 150.19 INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE (IECC) ADOPTED.
   A certain document, two copies of which are on file in the office of the Planning and Community Development Department, being marked and designated as The International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), 2018 Edition, is adopted in its entirety by the city for the purpose of establishing the rules and regulations governing the activities regulated thereby.

§ 150.20 INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING POOL AND SPA CODE (ISPSC) ADOPTED.
   A certain document, two copies of which are on file in the office of the Planning and Community Development Department, being marked and designated as the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC), 2018 Edition, and is hereby adopted as the code of the city, for conditions for construction and maintenance of all swimming pools and spas as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said code on file in the office of the Planning and Community Development Department, are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out herein.
