1070.03 CRITERIA FOR DETERMINING APPROPRIATENESS OF NAMING DESIGNATION.
   City of Newark public lands and/or facilities may be named or re-named after person(s) or after a place or location, or after an event that has created an important legacy or achievement. The following criteria shall be used by City Council in determining the appropriateness of the naming designation:
   (a)   A noteworthy public figure or official.
   (b)   A person, place, or event of historical or cultural significance.
   (c)   Special benefactor(s).
   (d)   A person, group, place, or feature, particularly identified with the public lands and/or facility.
