The City recognizes the statutory right of property owners to petition the City to vacate or narrow streets and alleys within the municipal corporation pursuant to Ohio R.C. Chapter 723 and hereby adopts those procedures set forth in Ohio R.C. 723.04 through 723.08 for the vacating or narrowing of streets or alleys upon petition with the addition of those requirements set forth at Section 1036.02. In addition, all persons seeking to petition the City to vacate or narrow a street or alley within the municipal corporation must further comply with all requirements imposed by the City Engineer prior to consideration of such petition by Council.
