No person shall knowingly use or cause or keep to be used for measuring any article or commodity to be bought or sold or offered or exposed for sale, any measures, utensils or receptacles for measuring, which are liable to or do indicate false or inaccurate measure or which do not conform to the standards established in Section 880.01. In addition to the penalty provided in Section 880.99, it shall be the duty of the City Sealer of Weights and Measures to seize all such measures, utensils or receptacles used for measuring and to destroy the same within twenty-four hours after seizure.
