There is hereby established the position of Sergeant-at-Arms of Council. The Sergeant-at-Arms shall be a police officer of the City and his duties shall be to enforce the rules of Council and to maintain order in Council Chambers. The Sergeant-at-Arms shall be paid five dollars ($5.00) per meeting and he shall only serve in such position when requested to do so by the President or President Pro Tem of Council.
