The Clerk of Council shall be appointed by a vote of at least six Council members, shall serve at the pleasure of Council, and may be removed without cause by a vote of at least six members of Council. The Clerk of Council shall keep an accurate record and complete journal of Council proceedings and other Council records. The vote on each ordinance, resolution, motion or other measure shall be recorded in the Journal of the proceedings of Council. The Clerk of Council shall perform such other duties as this Charter or Council may require. The Clerk of Council may be a person having other employment or appointment with the City.
