Doors and windows in vacant buildings shall be secured. After the service of one (1) written notice allowing five (5) calendar days for compliance, in accordance with Section 1303.05, the City may make secure, or cause to be secured, any vacant building that is not secure or board up any window or doorway that is open. City employees and city-authorized contractors shall have a right of entry onto property for the purpose of securing a vacant building under this section. The charge for any such securing or boarding shall be recovered pursuant to Section 1303.07.
