12-1-7: PROHIBITIONS:
   A.   Contract Of Sale After Final Approval: No person proposing to make or having made a subdivision within the village, or the area within the extraterritorial plat approval jurisdiction of the village, shall enter into any contract for the sale of or shall offer to sell said subdivision or any part thereof until he has obtained the approval of the final subdivision plat of the proposed subdivision.
   B.   Construction On Land After Preliminary Approval: No person proposing to make or having made a subdivision within the village, or the area within the extraterritorial plat approval jurisdiction of the village, shall proceed with any construction work on the proposed subdivision, including grading, until he has obtained the tentative approval of the preliminary plat of the proposed subdivision.
   C.   Entitled To Record After Approval: No plat of any subdivision shall be recorded in the appropriate county recorder's office, or have any validity, until it has been approved in the manner prescribed by law. (Ord. 831, 8-10-1994)
