7-5-4: REVIEW PROCEDURE:
Upon the filing of an application permit along with the proposed mural design, it shall be reviewed by the Village’s Zoning Board of Appeals. Said Zoning Board will, after a review of the application and based upon discussions with the property owner and artist, will then issue an advisory recommendation of support or non-support to the Village President and Board of Trustees. The Village Board shall conduct public hearings if so deemed necessary seeking input from the residents. The President and Board of Trustees shall, after a review of the application and public comments, either approve or deny the request. The Six types of murals that are acceptable must be based upon any of the following themes:
   A.   Historical- depicting Monee or State of Illinois;
   B.   Patriotic;
   C.   Railroad;
   D.   First Responders;
   E.   Nature Inspired; or
   F.   Abstract - Non-Graffiti. (Ord. 2040, 8-23-2023)
