Any person who shall violate the provisions of the fire code, including standards relating thereto, whether adopted by specific action of the Mitchell city council or incorporated by reference into a nationally published code adopted by the Mitchell city council, or fail to comply therewith, or who shall fail to comply with any order issued under the authority thereof, or who shall build any structure not in conformance with the fire code standards, including the standards of the life safety code, or shall build a structure not in conformance with standards and specifications approved by the fire marshal, and who shall have taken no appeal or whose appeal shall not be upheld, or shall fail to comply with such an order as affirmed or modified by the city council or by a court of competent jurisdiction within the time so fixed, shall be subject to prosecution for violation of city ordinance, and shall be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of the city code. The application of the above penalty shall not be held to prevent the enforcement, including, but not limited to, removal of the noncompliant conditions. (Ord. 2482, 8-4-2014)
