(A) The water rates established by this section shall be applicable to all residential, commercial, and industrial water consumers who acquire service within and use water within the corporate limits of the village. These rates shall also be applicable to all residential, commercial, and industrial water consumers who, upon the authority of the Village Council, acquire and use municipal water service outside the village corporation limits, in which case the rates for minimum monthly charges and monthly usage charges shall be increased by the addition of the surcharge in the amount of 25% of the entire bill.
(B) Water rates shall be established as follows:
(1) Minimum monthly charge.
(a) Beginning with bills due on July 1, 2014:
Inside village corporation limit | $5.00/meter/month |
Outside village corporation limit | $6.25/meter/month |
(b) Beginning with bills due on July 1, 2015:
Inside village corporation limit | $5.00/meter/month |
Outside village corporation limit | $6.25/meter/month |
(c) Beginning with bills due on July 1, 2016:
Inside village corporation limit | $5.00/meter/month |
Outside village corporation limit | $6.25/meter/month |
(2) Monthly usage charge.
(a) Beginning with bills due on July 1, 2014:
Inside village corporation limit | $1.90/1,000 gallons |
Outside village corporation limit | $2.38/1,000 gallons |
(b) Beginning with bills due on July 1, 2015:
Inside village corporation limit | $1.95/1,000 gallons |
Outside village corporation limit | $2.44/1,000 gallons |
(c) Beginning with bills due on July 1, 2016:
Inside village corporation limit | $2.00/1,000 gallons |
Outside village corporation limit | $2.50/1,000 gallons |
(3) The village shall assess users for any additional fees, costs and expenses as may be necessary due to enforcement actions, any special non-routine compliance monitoring, surveillance and analysis and/or other just causes applicable for an individual user.
(C) Ten percent per month shall be added to the net bill if not paid in full within 15 days after rendition of the bill for said service.
