A. Prohibitions: It shall be unlawful for any person to do any of the following acts within the parks or playgrounds of the village:
1. Unleashed, Unaccompanied Animals: Permit unleashed and/or unaccompanied animals on any such premises.
2. Injuring Birds; Taking Eggs: Take any bird eggs or bird nests, kill or disturb any waterfowl, birds or wildlife.
3. Animal And Vehicle Races; Horses: Race with horses, bicycles, automobiles, motorcycles or similar vehicles; drive or ride on drives on any such premises at more than fifteen (15) miles per hour; ride horseback, except on established bridle paths.
4. Drive On Grassy Areas: Drive or park motor vehicles on the grass areas. (1983 Code § 8-3-6; amd. 2011 Code)
5. Snowmobiles And Similar Vehicles: Drive or operate a motorized snowmobile or similar vehicle. (Ord. 1142, 1-5-1998)
6. Throw Stones And Missiles: Throw stones or missiles by hand, slingshot or otherwise.
7. Firearms And Fireworks: Carry or discharge firearms or set off fireworks.
8. Damage To, Removal Of Property:
a. Cut, mark, break, climb upon, or in any way injure or deface trees, shrubs, plants, flowers, buildings, fences, bridges or other structures or property, whether real or personal, on any such premises.
b. Remove from any such premises sod, trees, or plants, or otherwise movable property, or pick flowers of any kind on any such premises.
9. Advertisements: Distribute circulars or advertisements, or post notices, bills, or other paper upon any structures or trees on any such premises, or advertise by any other means.
10. Fires: Light any fires other than at established fire places.
11. Deposit Of Ashes, Garbage And Rubbish: Place ashes, garbage, papers or rubbish of any kind on any such premises other than in containers provided for that purpose.
12. Hours: Be on any park or playground premises between the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. and six o'clock (6:00) A.M. unless previously authorized by action of the village board of trustees or someone properly delegated by them.
13. Golfing: Golf in any of the parks, nor practice golf.
14. Baseball And Softball: Play baseball or softball, except in the areas established for the playing of such games.
B. Fines And No Contest Procedures: See section 1-4B-1 of this code for fines for violation of this section and title 1, chapter 4, article C of this code for no contest procedures. (1983 Code § 8-3-6; amd. 2011 Code)
