A. Definition: All the terms and phrases used in this section shall have the same meanings as ascribed to them in the cannabis control act 1 , and amendments thereto; except, should the term "person" be limited therein to natural persons who have attained the age of seventeen (17) years or more, said limitation is specifically excluded herein, and the term "person" is made applicable to all natural persons who have attained the age of thirteen (13) years or more.
B. Offense: A person commits the offense of possession of cannabis by knowingly possessing ten grams (10 g) or less of any substance containing cannabis unless permitted or authorized to do so pursuant to the cannabis control act 2 .
C. Copies Of Statutes On File: Three (3) copies of the cannabis control act 3 , are on file in the village clerk's office for public use and inspection.
D. Fines And No Contest Procedures: See section 1-4B-1 of this code for fines for violation of this section and title 1, chapter 4, article C of this code for no contest procedures. (1983 Code § 8-5-8; amd. 2011 Code)
